About Festival of Faiths
San Antonio’s citizens represent a range of vibrant faith traditions, but too often we don’t know enough about each other. Which gave us the idea to enrich our city through a Festival of Faiths!
Who are we?
The Festival of Faiths, San Antonio is hosted by Interfaith San Antonio Alliance, University of the Incarnate Word – Pastoral Institute, and Compassionate SA along with the diligent efforts of many volunteers and sponsors from across a diverse spectrum of citizens.
The best of our faith traditions, and our shared values will be experienced through music, dance, storytelling, first class speakers, and multi-faith panels. Ask questions and learn more about the beauty of who we are in the Dialogue and Display area.
Every tradition has a rich and meaningful history, and the Festival of Faiths is a rare opportunity to engage as neighbors. Think of the Festival of Faiths as a block party for the city of San Antonio!
We chose to share the first Festival of Faiths, San Antonio on January 21, 2024 because that appropriately places the event in the midst of DreamWeek, a celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream for humanity to share in freedom, justice, and equality. Values we all hold dear.
San Antonio’s vibrant faith traditions have enriched our past, informed our present, and will continue to strengthen our future. Now that is something to celebrate!
