About Festival of Faiths

San Antonio’s citizens represent a range of vibrant faith traditions, but too often we don’t know enough about each other. Which gave us the idea to enrich our city through a Festival of Faiths!

Who are we?

The 2nd Annual Festival of Faiths, San Antonio is hosted by Interfaith San Antonio Alliance, University of the Incarnate Word – Pastoral Institute, with thanks to Compassionate SA for inspiring this effort. A host of diligent volunteers and sponsors from across a diverse spectrum of citizens bring the Festival to life, please join us!

The best of our faith traditions, and our shared values will be experienced through music, dance, storytelling, exemplary speakers, multi-faith panels, and the new “Flavors of Faith!” Ask questions and learn more about the beauty of who we are in the Dialogue and Display area. Each tradition has a rich and meaningful history, and the Festival of Faiths offers a rare opportunity to engage as neighbors. Think of the Festival of Faiths as a block party for the city of San Antonio!

We chose to share the Inaugural Festival of Faiths, San Antonio on January 21, 2024, as part of DreamWeek, a celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream for humanity to share in values we all hold dear. We’ll continue to emphasize freedom, justice, and equality as we move to September 14, 2025, for the 2nd Festival of Faiths. The date change will help us capture the imaginations of students at the start of their school year.

San Antonio’s vibrant faith traditions have enriched our past, informed our present, and will continue to strengthen our future. Now that is something to celebrate!
